I have the large, and that even seems small some days. We’re a family of two humans, and three fur children. I freeze-dry not only our food, but also food for the animals as well. I purchase the large unit, because even though it costs $1000 more it also freeze-drys almost twice as much food at a time. I’m “lucky” enough to have a basement laundry room so I just switch out my freeze-dryer, and clothes dryer plugs.

I ordered the large, I knew that I would place it in my cellar where it’s pretty much 65 degrees year round. I have been using it nonstop for 4 days and I have the next 4 loads already waiting for it. I’m sure that my usage may slow down in the future. Get what you can afford, any of them I’m sure are a blessing to own.
